Sheikha Fatima Engages in Talks with Australian Governor-General on Strengthening Ties

Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the 'Mother of the Nation,' Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, received Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at Al Bahr Palace.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikha Fatima expressed her pleasure at the visit, underlining its significance in reflecting the depth of the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Australia. She emphasized that the visit provides an opportunity to enhance cooperation between the two nations, especially in areas related to women, childhood, and community service.

The discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in women's and children's affairs. They highlighted the importance of building partnerships that contribute to sustainable community development.

H.H. Sheikha Fatima noted the progress and achievements of Emirati women, stressing their ability to excel in various sectors. She mentioned that Emirati women have become integral contributors to the nation's development, enhancing its international stature.

Further, Sheikha Fatima pointed out that the empowerment of Emirati women has advanced considerably, making them active partners in the country's progress.

Governor-General Sam Mostyn expressed admiration for the developments in the UAE, especially in women's empowerment. She commended H.H. Sheikha Fatima's efforts in supporting and empowering Emirati women and highlighted her initiatives in community service, family welfare, and childhood care.

The meeting was attended by several Sheikhas and members of the Australian delegation.
