Sheikha Hind Commends Dubai Women’s Association on 50th Anniversary.


Dubai: H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, expressed her deep appreciation to the UAE leadership for their steadfast commitment to supporting Emirati families and providing all the necessary resources to ensure they enjoy a stable and prosperous life. She praised the exceptional contributions of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), for her instrumental role in empowering families, women, and children across the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Dubai Women’s Association, marking 50 years since its establishment, Sheikha Hind extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Association. She expressed her pride in the UAE’s stability and the stron
g cohesion of its families and society, achieved under the visionary leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, alongside Their Highnesses, the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

Sheikha Hind also extended her congratulations to Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer, Chairwoman of the Dubai Women’s Association, as well as to the board members and staff. She commended their outstanding efforts, which have strengthened family bonds and enriched the social fabric of the nation. Reflecting on the Association’s journey, Sheikha Hind said, ‘For over 50 years, the Dubai Women’s Association has made significant contributions through impactful initiatives that have empowered women and supported families across the UAE. The Association has played a pivotal role in raising community awareness, fostering volunteerism, and nurturing the talents of youth, all of which are v
ital to the continued growth and development of the nation.’

Sheikha Hind concluded by emphasising that the Dubai Women’s Association’s contributions over the past five decades have been instrumental in shaping the achievements of Emirati women, who stand as equal partners with men in the nation’s journey towards comprehensive and sustainable development.
