Hangzhou: Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), underscored the significance of the institute’s involvement in the Liangzhu 2025 Forum. The event, held in Hangzhou, focused on ‘Cultural Heritage and Human Culture Diversity’, providing an opportunity to forge communication channels and showcase Sharjah’s extensive experience in cultural heritage over the past forty years.
According to Emirates News Agency, the institute’s participation was part of a broader cultural exchange initiative between the United Arab Emirates and China. SIH presented a detailed working paper that elaborated on the Emirate of Sharjah’s longstanding contributions to cultural heritage, emphasizing its influence throughout the Arab world.
Dr Al Musallam stressed the critical role of SIH in illustrating Sharjah’s achievements to a global audience. The forum served as a platform to introduce the emirate’s heritage efforts and reinforce the cooperative ties established since 2015. These collaborations span various domains, including research, education, and cultural events, thereby strengthening the cultural bond between the UAE and China.
