SNOC Completes First Phase of Al Hadiba Field Development

Sharjah:Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has announced the completion of the first phase of development at the Al Hadiba gas and condensate field. This achievement has more than doubled the current gas production, significantly enhancing the emirate's long-term energy security.

According to Wam, the Al Hadiba field, discovered in May 2024, is situated northeast of the Sajaa gas field. SNOC swiftly transitioned the project from discovery to production through an accelerated appraisal and development program, achieving first gas production in less than a year. The initial phase involved drilling appraisal wells, analyzing well data, establishing gas-gathering infrastructure, laying pipelines, and conducting commissioning work.

Preparations for the next phase of development are underway, with SNOC aiming to increase production by 2027 and reach a stable production rate by 2028. This development is expected to meet future energy demand across Sharjah. Khamis Al Mazrouei, SNOC's CEO, emphasized the significance of Al Hadiba in the corporation's growth strategy and its role in enhancing energy security.

Despite facing logistical challenges and supply constraints, SNOC completed the project, demonstrating its capability to manage complex projects efficiently. Masoud Al Hammadi, Executive Director of Exploration and Production at SNOC, noted that the appraisal results confirmed the reservoir's quality, boosting confidence in its long-term commercial viability.
