The Republican Hospital Authority in the capital secretariat began today,Thursday, implementing the solar electricity generation project with support from the revolutionary and political leadership and funding from the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at Finance Ministry.
The project, which consists of 580 solar panels with a total generating capacity of 400 kilowatts, aims to cover 85 percent of the hospital’s electricity needs, which will contribute to reducing dependence on traditional energy sources and improving environmental sustainability.
Dr. Jahaf pointed out that the project is currently being implemented on the roofs of liver, burn and eye centers with a high methodology and with the participation of a team of experts in the field of solar energy, pointing out that the project will be implemented within a few weeks before it is completed and fully operational.
He considered the solar energy project one of the strategic projects of the Republican Hospital Authority, which it seek
s to achieve during the year 2024 AD.
