Sultan bin Ahmed Attends University of Sharjah Spring 2026 Graduation Ceremony

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UOS), was present at the University's Spring 2026 bachelor's degree graduation ceremony held on Sunday morning at University City Hall.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by recitations from the Holy Quran. Professor Dr Issam Al-Din Ibrahim Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, expressed his gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for gracing the occasion and honoring the graduates.

Dr Ajami highlighted the significance of high-quality training and professional preparation offered at the university, emphasizing the cultural diversity present among the students, who represent 100 nationalities. He noted that modern employers seek individuals who excel in their fields and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

The Chancellor also mentioned the University of Sharjah's achievements in global rankings, with the institution being recognized among the world's leading universities. The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 placed the university's programs in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering among the top global universities. Additionally, the university received the 2026 Sports Excellence Shield for its achievements in sports.

Dr Ajami attributed the university's success to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and founder of the university. He commended H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for furthering this vision, enabling the university to become a leader in cultural diversity.

Dr Ajami congratulated the graduates and thanked their parents and the university's faculty for their dedication. He encouraged the graduates to apply their knowledge to advance human civilization and improve society.

Thani Juma Khamis Al Shehi, representing the graduates, expressed gratitude to the university's leadership and acknowledged the inclusive environment provided for all students. He urged his fellow graduates to continue their academic and professional journeys with confidence and commitment.

Ahmed Salem Abdullah, another graduate, recited a poem emphasizing the importance of education in Sharjah's progress and development.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi presented graduation certificates to 273 graduates from various colleges, congratulating them and wishing them success in their future endeavors.
