Syria, Iran sign two understanding memos on cooperation in several domains

Damascus, the Ministry of Health signed two memos of understanding with the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The first memo included issues related to the development of cooperation in the field of health care, medical and health education, scientific research, technology, medicines and medical equipment, while the second one covered several topics to boost scientific, health and medical cooperation, particularly the development of drug cooperation, medical equipment and the exchange of experiences.

Health minister. Dr. Hassan al-Ghabbash said in a press statement that the two agreements are important and come in the interest of the two countries, most notably the exchange of medicines, providing health and treatment services, pharmaceutical and laboratory services, and the training of human cadres by mutual visits of scientific and medical delegations.

In turn, the Iranian Minister, Bahram Eynollahi, said that the memos were the result of several meetings and visits that showed the health and medical capabilities in Syria, pointing to the importance of scientific and research relations between the two countries and reaching agreements on scientific development in Syria and Iran.
