Syrian-Iranian talks to activate trade exchange

Damascus, the council of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Chamber of Commerce discussed with the Committee for the Development of Economic Relations between Syria and Iran ways to activate trade exchange and cooperation in the industrial, agricultural, health, pharmaceutical and tourism fields, joint investments and logistical services between the two countries.

The Chamber’s Chairman, Fahd Darwish, stressed the need to exert all possible efforts to develop economic relations between the two countries to higher levels.

He indicated that the Chamber’s work is focused on tackling the difficulties facing the issues of money transfer and shipping.

Darwish elaborated that the Chamber set up several exhibitions for the sale of Syrian products in some Iranian provinces in parallel with the establishment of economic forums for businessmen and economic activities of all disciplines, indicating the importance of establishing joint companies among economic activities to invest in the industries that Syria needs.

In turn, Head of the Committee for the Development of Economic Relations between Syria and Iran, Abbas Akbari, affirmed that the committee provides possible support for the work of the Joint Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the governments of the two countries.
