Damascus, Representatives from the ministries of Electricity, Oil, Mineral Resources and Water Resources, and the Russian Ministry of Energy held a meeting on Wednesday at the Ministry of Elictricity.
During the meeting, both sides discussed long-term future means of cooperation related to the completion of studies for the development of the energy and electricity sector, the provision of non-traditional fuels, and the utilization of potentials to operate power plants to reach renewable energies.
Deputy Minister of Electricity, Eng. Nidal Qarmousha, said , the possibilities of cooperation with Russian companies in the field of implementing a number of projects their financing and methods of implementation were presented at the meeting.
The talks also touched upon investing in the field of dams, water and irrigation networks.
For his part, representative of the Russian Ministry of Energy said that the ministry is following up on cooperation issues in all areas and fields, mainly the achievement of the general plan for water and energy in Syria.
