Hasaka, A Syrian team which participated in the in International Mental Arithmetic Championship, held in Egypt, came first in the competition that brought together 51 teams from different countries of the world.
The winning of the Syrian team, consisting of six children, came after child Azad Salar Khalaf won the first place in the competition.
The team’s coach, Rawda Al-Muktaf, told SANA that the Syrian team achieved almost perfect results through Azad Salar Khalaf, who won the first place in the third level.
She added that the rest of team members also achieved advanced positions, including Zana Othman who gained the second place in the second level and Rodi Chalabi who came second in the first level.
