Takala discusses the difficulties facing municipalities.


Tripoli: President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, discussed with a number of municipal mayors the difficulties facing municipal councils and ways to solve them, to enable it to carry out its tasks and perform its role in serving citizens.

This came during a meeting held on Tuesday, at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, in the presence of a number of council members and the Minister of Local Government, Badr al-Din al-Toumi.

Takala stressed the importance of the role of municipalities in establishing the foundations of social peace and achieving comprehensive national reconciliation, and that the High Council of State pays great attention to supporting any efforts aimed at renouncing division and disagreement and contributing to improving the conditions of the Libyan citizen in all parts of the country.

The municipal mayors appreciated the positions of the High Council of State and the continuous support it provides to all efforts aimed at making Libyan reconciliation and reunification a
success, stressing their support for it in achieving peace and stability for the country on politically and legally consensual foundations.
