The Egyptian President receives the President of the Presidential Council in Cairo.


Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo today, Thursday, the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, who began a visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Presidential Council’s media office reported that the interview discussed the importance of continuing joint work to strengthen cooperation relations in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially the political and security file, in addition to the importance of supporting the political process in Libya to reach elections.

According to the media office, President Sisi affirmed his country’s continued support for the President of the Presidential Council in leading the Libyan political track to reach a real and comprehensive political settlement that leads to free and fair elections that fulfill the aspirations of the Libyan people, expressing his appreciation for the progress achieved in the national reconciliation file, which the Council is leading
with the support of the African Union.

Al-Manfi praised the depth of the historical relations that bring together the two brotherly neighboring countries, appreciating the Egyptian role in supporting Libya at all levels, stressing the continuation of work to complete the elections process, in a way that achieves the will of the Libyan people and preserves its capabilities and supreme interests.
