The High Council of State holds a session to discuss the latest political, security and economic developments in the country.

The High Council of State held its “eighty-seventh” session yesterday, Sunday, headed by President “Khaled Al-Mishri” at the Council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, to discuss the latest political, security and economic developments in the country.

The media office of the council said that the session discussed the exit of the government of national unity through the road map drawn for it at the Libyan Dialogue Forum – Geneva. This is due to the lack of transparency, the government not being subject to any accountability or hearing sessions, and its circumvention of the legislative competencies of the existing councils.

According to the media office, the council discussed what it considered “violations of the government by concluding long-term and binding agreements on the Libyan state, which violate Article 6, Paragraph 10 of the road map, opening the real estate registry closed by law from the Transitional Council, and its failure to carry out preliminary procedures for elections, especially with regard to purifying The civil registry and the national number, which also violate paragraph “1” of Article 1, as well as dealing with administrative numbers that violate Article “1” paragraph “8_2”, and the lack of transparency in the statement of oil production, expenses and revenues;

The Council decided to form committees to follow up on these files urgently, and to suspend the session until the committees submit their reports.
