The Minister of Interior discusses with the ambassadors of Sudan and Jordan security coordination and cooperation

Baghdad, The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, met today, Saturday, the ambassadors of Sudan and Jordan, separately.

A statement from the minister’s office stated: “Al-Shammari discussed with the two ambassadors a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them security coordination and cooperation.”

The Sudanese ambassador requested the transfer of Iraq’s experience in combating terrorism and the intelligence effort in it with the aim of benefiting from it, indicating that his country has a pioneering experience in investigation and criminal research, and it is useful to exchange experience in it.

During the meeting, they discussed the situation of the Sudanese community in Iraq and facilitating its residence. The fight against drugs and human trafficking was also discussed, as well as other issues related to the promotion of mutual interests between the two brotherly countries.

The Minister of Interior also discussed with the Jordanian ambassador ways to develop bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation in fields and issues that serve the interests of the two countries and provide services to the Iraqi community in Jordan.

At the end of the meeting, the Jordanian ambassador invited the minister to visit the Kingdom.
