The Minister of Trafe discusses with the Jordanian ambassador the development of bilateral relations and raising the volume of trade exchange

Baghdad, Minister of Trade Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairi met today, Wednesday, the Jordanian ambassador in Baghdad, Montaser Al-Zoubi.

The ministry stated in a statement, that: “During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between Iraq and Jordan and enhance bilateral and regional integration and coordination to confront the current economic challenges in light of global crises and raise the volume of trade exchange, as well as Jordan’s participation in the 46th Baghdad International Fair.”

The statement added, “The Minister of Trade stressed during the meeting the depth of the historical ties that unite the two brotherly countries and the importance of developing bilateral cooperation between them in a way that enhances the interests of the two brotherly peoples, and the ministry’s keenness to implement the government program and pursue a new trade policy to open up to global and Arab markets, including Jordan, to benefit from experiences and exchange experiences and entering into joint agreements to stimulate trade exchange and bring businessmen closer together.

For his part, the Jordanian ambassador affirmed: “Jordan attaches exceptional importance to relations with Iraq, as these relations represent a social, economic, cultural and civilized dimension that links the two countries.”

The two sides discussed a number of axes and paragraphs related to joint cooperation, activating the joint committee between the two countries, and Jordan’s participation in exhibitions inside Iraq.
