The UN mission: removal of (27,400) explosive ordnance in Libya during 2022.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya said today, Monday, that partners in Libya have removed 27,400 explosive ordnance in Tripoli, Misrata, Benghazi, and Sirte over the past year.

And the mission added, through a post on its Twitter site, commenting, “But there is still a need to do more and redouble efforts in order to put Libya on the path of a safer future free of explosive hazards.”

The mission stated that it is working with its partners to provide lessons for children across Libya on raising awareness of the dangers of explosive ordnance, to reduce casualties and save lives, noting that more than 215,000 children have been educated about the dangers of explosive ordnance since 2016.
