Tragic losses mount as Israeli forces continue assault on Gaza

Amman: On the 111th day of relentless attacks by the Israeli occupation forces, the Gaza Strip, particularly Khan Yunis in the south, witnessed a devastating escalation resulting in numerous civilian casualties.

Palestinian medical sources reported that the Israeli occupation army intensified its airstrikes on Thursday, targeting the Nasser Medical Complex and a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) center sheltering displaced individuals. Over 50 displaced children, women, and elderly people lost their lives in these attacks.

The Al-Amal neighborhood and the vicinity of the Red Crescent Society in Khan Yunis were also subjected to shelling by the occupation forces, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Health Organization warned of an imminent complete closure of the health sector in Gaza, emphasizing the catastrophic situation in hospitals, particularly in Khan Yunis.

afah, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed the city, resulting in casualties among Palestinian residents. In a separate incident, a residential apartment in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, was targeted, causing additional injuries.

The night before, four children lost their lives in a bombing by an Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza Strip. Reports indicated that the bodies were recovered after an entire residential square in Nuseirat Camp was bombed.

According to the latest update from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the toll from the Israeli aggression since October 7 includes 25,105 fatalities and 62,681 injuries.

The occupation army acknowledges a death toll of 531 since the start of the aggression, with 195 deaths occurring since ground operations commenced on October 26.
