Dubai: Tunisian food exports to the UAE have reached an annual value of approximately AED140 million, underscoring the robust trade relations between the two nations. Youssef Bioudh, Head of the Tunisian Export Promotion Office in Dubai, highlighted these figures while discussing the scope of Tunisian participation in Gulfood Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, Bioudh stated that the total trade exchange between Tunisia and the UAE amounts to around 956 million Tunisian dinars, with Tunisian exports contributing approximately 356 million Tunisian dinars. The food industries sector accounts for nearly one third of these exports, signifying its growing importance in the economic ties between Tunisia and the UAE.

This consistent presence highlights Tunisia's commitment to engaging with the UAE, a key regional and international trade hub. The Tunisian pavilion at Gulfood has expanded significantly, now covering 510 square metres, and the number of participating companies has increased.
The participation includes 48 Tunisian companies within the main pavilion at Gulfood Dubai in Expo, showcasing a wide array of food products such as dates, pastries, biscuits, and olive oil. Additionally, 13 Tunisian companies are featured at the Dubai World Trade Centre in a dedicated pavilion for packaged olive oil. This brings the total official Tunisian participation to 61 companies, supplemented by other individual participants.
