UAE AI Office Launches Registration for Samsung Innovation Campus 2026

Abu Dhabi:The Artificial Intelligence Office of the UAE Government, in partnership with Samsung Gulf Electronics, has opened registration for the Samsung Innovation Campus 2026. This initiative is designed to equip young Emirati nationals with the skills needed to create artificial intelligence solutions, thereby enhancing the national economy's competitiveness and supporting future economic development.

According to Emirates News Agency, this year's program introduces a new training track in generative AI. Participants will gain practical skills in this rapidly growing area of artificial intelligence. The comprehensive curriculum includes foundational concepts to advanced applications, covering Python programming, probability and statistics, machine learning, and deep learning.

Dr. Abdelrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Artificial Intelligence Office, emphasized the importance of investing in national talent as a core part of the UAE's AI strategy. He stated that providing young people with advanced knowledge and practical experience is crucial for them to lead technological transformation and develop solutions addressing development priorities.

Jerome Hong, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, highlighted that technology's greatest impact is achieved when combined with appropriate skills and opportunities. He noted that the Samsung Innovation Campus offers young individuals practical knowledge to engage actively in shaping future technologies. The inclusion of Generative AI in the program reflects the importance of these skills as technology advances.

The initiative is part of Samsung's global CSR efforts to build AI skills and empower upcoming innovators. The 2026 edition will focus on developing AI skills among young UAE Nationals, contributing to the UAE's goal of enhancing local capabilities in advanced technology.

The program includes expert-led training, self-paced learning, practical applications, and projects based on real-world challenges, thus providing participants with hands-on technical experience. Registration is open to UAE nationals aged 18 to 29 until 16 October 2026, with requirements including foundational STEM knowledge and previous programming experience. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an admission assessment.

Since its inception in 2022, the Samsung Innovation Campus has empowered over 400 students in the UAE with skills in AI and related fields, preparing them for the evolving digital economy. The 2026 edition will exclusively target UAE Nationals, further supporting the country's ambition to develop its national AI talent.
