PARIS: Ali Abdullah Al Ali, UAE's Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), presented his credentials to Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, at the organisation's headquarters in Paris, France. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the well-established partnerships between the UAE and UNESCO, with regards to the initiatives adopted by the UAE to support organised programmes around the world. These initiatives include implementing several projects including 'Revive the Spirit of Mosul' in Iraq, and the upcoming World Conference on Culture and Arts Education, which will take place in February in Abu Dhabi. Al Ali affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation with UNESCO and its member states, to reinforce sustainable development and peaceful coexistence, through initiatives in the field of education, culture, and science. Source: Emirates News Agency Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, attended today, Tuesday, the launch of the work of the First International Legal Conference for Military Justice, which is organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity under the slogan 'The Path to Peace and Peace Under the Rule of Law.' Al-Dabaiba said in his opening speech that the first international legal conference for military justice is being held under appropriate conditions that were achieved thanks to the choice of the stability resolution that all Libyans called for, after years of chaos that formed the appropriate climate for the movement and activity of terrorist outposts. The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government stressed the importance of adopting laws that criminalize terrorist acts and guarantee deterrent penalties for all forms of terrorism, noting that terrorism takes various forms, including the terrorism of extremist groups, murderers, bandits, human smugglers, and warlords, and including the terrorism of states, regimes, and governments. Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of creating solid religious educational awareness that reflects the identity of Libyan society, noting that this is an integrated governmental societal responsibility. The media office of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government stated that the launch of the conference activities was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, the Military Prosecutor, a number of leaders of the Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous operation, the Minister of State for Women's Affairs, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Justice, the Director-General of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, in addition to the ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries in Libya.
