UAE and Korea Strengthen Ties Through Key Agreements

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, have overseen the exchange of several memoranda of understanding and agreements designed to bolster the Special Strategic Partnership between their nations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the exchange occurred during the official visit of the Korean President to the UAE, held at Qasr Al Watan. These agreements are intended to enhance cooperation in several critical sectors. The ceremony featured a range of agreements, including a Strategic Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Framework, exchanged by His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak and His Excellency Bae Kyung-hoon.

Additionally, there was a memorandum of understanding focusing on artificial intelligence, as well as a cooperation project between the UAE Space Agency and the Korea AeroSpace Administration. His Excellency Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi and His Excellency Bae Kyung-hoon were involved in these exchanges. Another notable agreement involved comprehensive cooperation in biohealth, exchanged by His Excellency Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri and Her Excellency Oh Yu-Kyoung.

Further agreements included the administration and operation of the UAE-Korea Economic Cooperation Committee, a cooperation arrangement in intellectual property, and a partnership to strengthen nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, and global market cooperation. These agreements were exchanged by high-ranking officials from both countries, underscoring the commitment to enhancing bilateral relationships in these pivotal areas.
