UAE Condemns Storming of Saudi Arabia’s Cultural Attache’s Building in Khartoum

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the storming of the cultural attache’s building of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, by an armed group, which resulted in the vandalization and theft of property, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The UAE stressed the importance of protecting diplomatic missions according to the norms and charters that govern and regulate diplomatic work.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) affirmed that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability in contravention of humanitarian values and principles.

The Ministry stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to secure a ceasefire and to return to the political process and dialogue to achieve progress in the transitional phase to reach the desired political stability and security in Sudan.
