UAE Conference Advocates for AI and Personalized Medicine in Cancer Care

Dubai:The 7th Annual Emirates Oncology Society Conference concluded in Dubai, marking two days of intensive scientific sessions, workshops, and discussions focused on cancer care advancements.

According to Emirates News Agency, the conference issued key recommendations for enhancing cancer treatment. These include expanding the use of artificial intelligence to predict treatment outcomes, advancing immunotherapy for advanced cancers, and accelerating personalized medicine developments through genetic mutation identification.

The event brought together oncology experts from the UAE and abroad to discuss the latest scientific advancements and clinical practices in cancer diagnosis and treatment. It served as a platform for exchanging expertise on modern therapies and integrated cancer care.

Throughout the two-day program, various cancers, including breast, lung, liver, gastrointestinal, and ovarian, were addressed. The discussions covered therapeutic advances, challenges in clinical practice, and emphasized personalized treatment approaches, particularly for lung cancer with EGFR mutations and other genetic alterations.

Special sessions focused on gastrointestinal cancers and liver cancer, reviewing recent therapeutic advances and strategies for improved clinical outcomes. The conference also included workshops on treating advanced ovarian cancer and EGFR-mutated lung cancer, along with discussions on palliative care and quality of life.

Participants highlighted the importance of strengthening early detection, diagnosis, and molecular testing to select appropriate treatments.
