Gaza: The UAE Field Hospital in Gaza has been a crucial lifeline for Palestinian patients, offering continuous medical services as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, an initiative to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in the region. Since its inception on 2nd December 2023, the hospital has attended to over 48,700 cases, catering to the medical needs of men, women, and children alike.
According to Emirates News Agency,the facility has successfully conducted over 1,780 surgeries, ranging from minor procedures to critical operations in specialties such as orthopaedics, neurology, and general surgery. To further support Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, the UAE has also contributed ten ambulances and 400 tonnes of medical aid. The field hospital is well-equipped with surgical theatres, intensive care units for both adults and children, and specialized clinics for various medical disciplines, including internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics, psychiatry, paediatrics, gynaecology, and family medicine.

ospital’s advanced diagnostic tools, such as CT scans, X-rays, and laboratory testing, enable it to deliver comprehensive treatment that meets international standards. Staffed by skilled professionals and volunteers, the hospital also features a prosthetics centre that provides modern equipment for orthopaedic care, high-quality prosthetic limbs, and rehabilitation services.
This vital healthcare facility was established under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. This initiative underscores the UAE’s dedication to bolstering Gaza’s health sector amid challenging conditions.
