Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in the United Arab Emirates Dr. Omar Al Darei praised King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, a renowned event that brings together people who memorize the Quran from various countries and regions, and is currently at its 44th edition. Organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and held at the Grand Mosque, the competition has attracted 174 contestants representing 123 countries; the total prize pool stands at SAR4,000,000.
