Bohoniki: Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, participated in the official celebration organized by the Muslim Religious Union in the Republic of Poland (MRU) in the village of Bohoniki. This event marked the 100th anniversary of the Union’s founding and Dr. Omar Al Darei attended at the invitation of the Union’s President.
According to Emirates News Agency, the celebration was also attended by Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Poland, and Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director General of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. During his speech, Al Darei praised the religious diversity and cultural pluralism in Poland, as well as the mutual respect among all religions, sects, and cultures. He highlighted the achievements of the Muslim Religious Union in Poland and its commitment to ensuring a future of coexistence and mutual understanding.
Al Darei discussed the cooperation and friendship between the United Arab Emirates and Poland, sharing the UAE’s experience in promoting values of moderation, training religious leaders, and maintaining a unique cultural-religious identity. He emphasized the importance of preserving this heritage in the face of modern challenges and the digital world.
Dr. Al Darei also conveyed principles that guide the UAE’s efforts in promoting coexistence and tolerance. He emphasized Islam’s call for national interest and commitment to the country’s laws, while promoting shared human values within a framework of mutual respect and peace.
