UAE President and King of Jordan Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Issues

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today held talks with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The two leaders focused on enhancing fraternal relations and cooperation between the UAE and Jordan, aiming to strengthen ties across various fields that align with development priorities and mutual interests.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting highlighted the historical and fraternal connections between the two nations and their peoples. Both leaders expressed a shared commitment to advancing UAE-Jordan relations, particularly in economic, trade, and development sectors, under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

Regional issues, including developments in the Middle East, also constituted a significant part of the discussions. The leaders shared their perspectives on these matters, emphasizing the importance of continued consultation and coordination to support efforts for security, stability, and lasting peace in the region.

The meeting witnessed the presence of several high-ranking officials from both countries. On the UAE side, attendees included His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and other prominent figures. The Jordanian delegation included His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Prime Minister His Excellency Dr Jafar Hassan.

Following the discussions, His Majesty King Abdullah II departed the UAE, with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and several Sheikhs and officials present to bid him farewell.
