Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese Prime Minister His Excellency Dr Nawaf Salam engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon, with a focus on advancing the interests of both nations and fulfilling their aspirations for development and prosperity.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was held at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi during the Prime Minister's working visit to the UAE for the Arab Media Summit 2025 in Dubai. The discussions included reviewing regional and international issues of mutual concern, emphasizing the importance of promoting stability, security, and peace in the region.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the UAE's support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He emphasized the UAE's commitment to efforts that contribute to Lebanon's stability and prosperity.
Prime Minister Dr Nawaf Salam expressed gratitude to His Highness for the UAE's unwavering support for the Lebanese people and stressed Lebanon's dedication to reinforcing ties with the UAE across various sectors, aligning with the shared interests of both countries.
The meeting was attended by several notable officials, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs; and Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council.
