Belgium: The UAE team celebrated a successful outing at the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series, securing three medals in a fiercely contested event. The tournament, hosted at the Lakes of Eau d’Heure, brought together over 200 competitors from 33 countries, showcasing high-level competition in the waterjet racing world.
According to Emirates News Agency, veteran rider Mohammed Mohsen clinched a bronze medal in the Veterans Runabout Limited category. His performance highlighted his skill in a competitive race against international riders. Meanwhile, UAE’s Al Ali delivered a strong performance with a double podium finish. This achievement has propelled him to second place in the overall world standings, enhancing his prospects for the title at the series finale in Pattaya, Thailand, on 17th December.
The UAE team faced challenges, as Ahmed Al Tayyer had to withdraw from the competition due to a technical issue, and Saif Al Shuweihi exited after a crash during one of the heats. Despite these setbacks, the team’s performance in Belgium demonstrates their competitive spirit and dedication to the sport.
