PARIS: The UAE shooting team has joined the national sports delegation for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, ahead of the tournament starting from 28th August to 8th September. The UAE delegation includes 14 athletes across five sports-shooting, athletics, weightlifting, judo, and cycling, who all will be competing among 4,400 athletes from 23 sports in Paris. The shooting team, comprising Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani, Saif Al Nuaimi, Obaid Al Dahmani, Aisha Al Shamsi, and Aisha Al Muhairi, will train at the Chateauroux shooting centre in central France until 31st August, when the first competitions begin. Coach Mohammed Hussein said that the team is fully prepared and optimistic about achieving success. Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani, competing in his fifth Paralympic Games, aims to add to his impressive tally of medals, including gold from London 2012 and Tokyo 2020, he said.
