UAE’s hosting of CAAF/3 drives sustainable aviation advancements: Director-General of Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority


Andile Mtetwa-Amaeshi, Director-General of the Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority, has affirmed that climate change is a global issue that affects all countries, especially in Africa.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), she said that her country’s participation in the Third International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3), which the UAE is hosting, is part of Eswatini’s drive to transition towards a sustainable aviation sector, and using greener fuel alternatives.

As part of her participation in the second day of CAAF/3, Mtetwa-Amaeshi said that such forums and events provide a golden opportunity for Africa to boost its growth and prosperity, highlighting the importance of cooperation between African countries to boost the competitiveness of their sustainable products and services in the global market.

The Director-General of the Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority commended the UAE’s role in supporting the visions of African and Middle East
countries, highlighting its remarkable track record in launching green initiatives and renewable energy projects.
