The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has warned that the Gaza Strip is on the verge of losing an entire generation of children due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, now in its tenth month. UNRWA indicated that over 600,000 children have been unable to attend school this year because of the continued Israeli attacks, and it will be extremely difficult to recover the educational losses. The international organization also noted that two-thirds of UNRWA schools have been destroyed, with the rest converted into shelters for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians. In the same context, statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirm that approximately 16,000 children have died in Israeli bombings or due to illness, famine, and malnutrition since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in early October. According to the ministry, thousands of children remain trapped under the rubble. Source: Saudi Press Agency
