UPDATED: Abdulla Al Hamed leads National Media Office’s delegation participating in DigiMarCon Africa in South Africa


CAPE TOWN: A delegation from the National Media Office (NMO), led by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the NMO and the UAE Media Council, participated in DigiMarCon Africa, the premier digital marketing, media, and advertising conference and exhibition, held in South Africa from 15th to 17th October.

The delegation sought to explore the latest developments and trends in the industry and engage in knowledge exchange with prominent experts and specialists, contributing to the UAE’s efforts to stay at the forefront of global innovations.

Abdulla Al Hamed stated that the UAE has a distinguished track record in leveraging and investing in advanced technologies to exceed societal expectations across various sectors. This approach simultaneously fosters an attractive investment climate, which is vital for sustainable development and serves as a crucial mechanism for enhancing efficiency and reinforcing the nation’s leading position in world competitiveness rankings.

He added, ‘Guided by the vis
ion and leadership of our wise leaders, the UAE consistently strives to stay ahead of and adapt to the evolving landscape of advanced technology. This commitment strengthens the country’s leadership across multiple sectors. The development of the UAE’s digital infrastructure is a top priority for our leadership, who emphasises the importance of readiness, competitiveness, flexibility, and enhancing the efficiency of our digital systems. This focus is clearly reflected in the UAE’s prominent position in global digital transformation.’

He further emphasised that the media is fully integrated into this wave of advancement, stating, ‘We are committed to developing a media ecosystem that leverages cutting-edge, future-oriented tools to produce high-quality, interactive, and innovative content. This will not only strengthen engagement with audiences both within and beyond the UAE but also bolster the nation’s evolving media landscape, aligning with the leadership’s vision of establishing the UAE as a global hub fo
r innovation and creativity in the media sector.’

Al Hamed and the accompanying delegation participated in several conference sessions that explored critical topics shaping the future of digital marketing and introduced innovative strategies for media to thrive in today’s dynamic marketing landscape.
