US presence in Syria is illegitimate and must be ended, Russian parliamentarian says

Moscow, A member of the Russian State Duma and the first deputy chairman of the committee of the State Duma for the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Konstantin Zatulin, affirmed that the presence of the US forces in Syria is illegitimate and must be ended.

In a statement to SANA reporter in Moscow on Wednesday, Zatulin called for an end to the plundering of Syria’s natural and oil resources by these forces.

“Everyone knows the danger of foreign intervention in Syria’s internal affairs, especially that the US is which creates crises in many countries of the world under the pretext of fight against terrorism to continue imposing its hegemony on the world,” he went on to say.

Zatulin affirmed that Syria has begun to gradually recover with the help of its friends and allies, mainly Russia and Iran, describing the illegitimate unilateral sanctions imposed by the US and its partners on Syria, Russia and Iran as “unfair and have detrimental effects on the peoples’ living.”
