Amman: World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Saturday called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the protection of civilians, health workers, and health facilities. "Deeply worried about the safety of civilians and patients in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, following the latest reports of airstrikes in areas where many displaced people are sheltering," Ghebreyesus said Saturday in a post on his official X account.
