World Laureates Association’s Secretary-General praises excellent organisation of WGS 2024

DUBAI: Wang Hou, Secretary-General of the World Laureates Association (WLA), praised the themes of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024 aimed at shaping a better future for humanity.

Wang Hou expressed his admiration for the excellent organisation, stating to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the summit that Dubai has built a good reputation for hosting high-level international forums.

He explained that the WLA now includes more than 180 members, including over 80 Nobel laureates, and they look forward to collaborating and sharing their expertise with relevant entities in the UAE.

He noted that the summit showcased sophisticated models such as spacecraft and robots, which are indicators of future trends, emphasising the importance of developing educational systems that align with modern scientific and technological advancements. He viewed the educational systems in the United States and Finland as examples that countries around the world can benefit from.

Wang affirmed the Federation’s
readiness to contribute to the future of education in developing countries, considering that these countries have the opportunity to be unique on a global scale by implementing radical educational reforms.
