Abu dhabi: Yas Waterworld has officially unveiled its expansive new area, marking a significant addition to the renowned waterpark’s array of attractions. Spanning over 13,445 square meters, the newly opened section invites visitors to explore the ‘Lost City,’ which extends the narrative of ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl.’
According to Emirates News Agency, the launch event was attended by prominent figures including Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director-General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Miral. The event also saw the presence of VIP guests, media, and influencers.
The expansion introduces over 20 new rides, slides, and experiences, along with a fresh dining venue, enhancing Yas Waterworld’s offerings to more than 60 attractions. The new features cater to a wide audience, from thrill-seekers to families, providing a mix of adventures and splash zones designed to create memorable experiences.
Among the highlights is Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side duelling tube raft ride, which offers dynamic drops and turns. Bahamut’s Rage presents an invigorating log flume ride, while younger visitors can enjoy Al Sahel Junior, a mini zero-gravity boomerango ride with exciting drops and slides.
Additional attractions include Al Mafras, a desert-themed water slide, and Red Dunes, an enclosed aqua tube slide. The Dawwama Junior provides a scaled-down version of the park’s iconic ride, offering mini vortexes and descents for younger guests.
Families can partake in Mataha Madness, a raft adventure filled with twists, or experience Sadaf Swirl, the region’s first high-speed raft ride, promising a spin-powered thrill.
