Abu Dhabi: Yas Waterworld Yas Island has officially opened its expansive new extension to the public, marking a significant milestone in the park’s development. Spanning 13,445 square meters, the expansion introduces a ‘Lost City’ theme, enhancing the park’s offerings with over 20 new rides, slides, and experiences, as well as a new dining option.
According to Emirates News Agency, the expansion continues the park’s original narrative, ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl,’ and elevates Yas Waterworld’s status to a destination with more than 60 aquatic attractions. Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, emphasized the expansion as a significant step towards delivering exceptional entertainment experiences on Yas Island, reflecting a commitment to innovation and contributing to Abu Dhabi’s tourism and economic growth.
New adventures such as Al Mafras, a water slide for kids, and Red Dunes, a closed aqua tube slide, are part of the offerings. Visitors can also test their skills on Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft race. For younger guests, Al Sahel Junior offers a mini zero-gravity boomerango experience, while Dawwama Junior presents a scaled-down version of the park’s tornado slide.
Mataha Madness and Sadaf Swirl provide additional thrills, while Bahamut’s Rage delivers a high-thrill log flume ride. The Bandit’s Playground, located in the new Bandit’s Village, offers interactive fun for all ages. These additions are set to enhance Yas Waterworld’s reputation as a hub for endless aquatic adventures, attracting families and thrill-seekers alike.
