The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is participating in this year's FIATA World Congress (FWC) held in Panama from September 24-27, organized by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). The event brings together various stakeholders from the global logistics sector. ZATCA's involvement included a booth at the accompanying exhibition showcasing its logistics and customs services aimed at facilitating trade. The ZATCA highlighted the Saudi Authorized Economic Operator Program, which promotes partnerships with businesses and enhances the security of global supply chains while offering additional trade facilitation benefits. ZATCA presented its logistics and customs services available in free zones and discussed support for the customs clearance sector, a strategic partner in advancing trade facilitation aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. Through this participation, ZATCA aims to strengthen international relations with officials and experts in logistics and trade facilitati on. The FIATA World Congress serves as a platform for discussing logistics developments and global trends, emphasizing the logistics sector's role in enhancing international trade and improving transportation and shipping services. The conference also focuses on the future of logistics in light of technological advancements and the importance of developing human capacities within the sector, along with addressing emerging practices such as technology solutions and information exchange among customs and other agencies.
