The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has announced plans to organize the third edition of its conference on December 4-5, 2024, under the theme Shaping the Future for a Sustainable and Secure Enhanced Economy. The event will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the ZATCA's Board, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, and will bring together officials and experts from around the world. ZATCA Governor Eng. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi stated that this third conference builds on the success of previous editions and aligns with the Authority's mission to strengthen partnerships and cooperation at local, regional, and international levels while adapting to global trends in zakat, tax, and customs. He highlighted that this edition will cover a wide range of topics, aiming to address challenges, share experiences, define frameworks for global cooperation, and develop strategies to support economic growth and national development. The conference has several strategic objectives, including cre ating a prominent global dialogue platform to enhance the Kingdom's international position and cooperation efforts. The agenda will address balancing cooperation with competition, promoting international trade, supporting an attractive investment climate, and exploring the role of technology in achieving transparency and efficiency in zakat, tax, and customs operations.
