The organizing committee confirmed that the run is anticipated to be one of Hungary's most awaited community events of 2026, drawing professional runners, families, diplomatic missions, supporters of charitable causes, and sports enthusiasts. The event aims to celebrate charity, health, solidarity, and cultural connection.

The event will take place around iconic landmarks in Budapest, such as Heroes' Square, Andr¡ssy Avenue, Sz©chenyi Chain Bridge, and the Danube promenade. This choice of location underscores the universal humanitarian values inspired by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE's Founding Father.

Participants of all ages and backgrounds are welcomed, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where sport acts as a medium for generosity, unity, and hope. On Saturday, May 16, City Park will host a series of activities, including a Children's Fun Run at 11:00 organized by Lounge Group, followed by a Family Run at 15:00 organized by Balatonman. These activities aim to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen community ties.

The main competitive races are scheduled for Sunday, May 17, with routes that encompass some of Budapest's most historic and scenic locations. The races will start and finish at Heroes' Square, passing through Andr¡ssy Avenue, De¡k Ferenc Square, and crossing the Sz©chenyi Chain Bridge to Clark d¡m Square. The route continues alongside the Danube River past the Hungarian Parliament Building, culminating at the heart of Budapest.

In addition to the races, the Zayed Charity Run will offer cultural and wellness activities, including children's entertainment zones, live drawing sessions with Emirati artist Abdulla Lutfi, warm-up and fitness sessions, health checks by Doktor24, yoga sessions, UAE cultural performances, and traditional Hungarian dance performances. Award ceremonies will follow each race, and a 'Wall of Kindness' will display messages of compassion and solidarity.

Lt. General (Ret.) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Zayed Charity Run, emphasized the event's humanitarian message, stating that it has become a global symbol of giving and coexistence. He highlighted that the Budapest edition reflects the UAE's commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives and promoting healthy communities through sport, while praising the cooperation of organizers, partners, sponsors, and volunteers in enhancing the global success of the Zayed Charity Run.
