Abu Dhabi: Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) provides comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to ensure the well-being and quality of life of People of Determination. The organisation continues its successful journey in offering top-tier care and rehabilitation services to diverse categories across the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency,the organisation serves 28,000 beneficiaries, including 1,700 individuals enrolled in its care and rehabilitation centres across the emirate of Abu Dhabi. This information was released in a report on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on 3rd December every year.
The ZHO’s achievements are attributed to visionary leadership and proactive measures aimed at integrating and empowering its members in all aspects of public life. Throughout 2024, the organisation launched and implemented a series of initiatives and projects to enhance its services. Guided by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, th
e organisation expanded and developed its services across all centres, equipping them with cutting-edge scientific and specialised devices. This progress was facilitated by leveraging global technological advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence.
The ZHO also expanded its strategic partnerships by collaborating with Arab and international institutions and global entities to serve the diverse categories of People of Determination.
Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, highlighted the pride in successfully implemented initiatives and projects that equip People of Determination with skills for independent living. He emphasised the organisation’s commitment to empowering them and creating an inclusive society. Al Humaidan outlined the ongoing development of innovative programmes designed to enhance the abilities of People of Determination, boost their self-confidence, and bring happiness to them and their families.
He stated that the organisation provides care and rehabilitation services
at global standards, along with employment opportunities and social integration. The goal is to ensure that every individual with determination can fully participate in all aspects of Emirati society.
Al Humaidan also noted that the unwavering support and guidance from the leadership serve as a framework for the organisation’s work. He reaffirmed that, despite the challenges ahead, the organisation remains committed to progress and development.
He expressed aspirations to introduce further improvements and innovations to elevate the quality of life for People of Determination in Abu Dhabi. He highlighted the organisation’s determination to launch projects focused on research and development to devise practical and sustainable solutions to challenges.
