An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck West Java province in Indonesia.
The Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management reported that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 30 kilometers southeast of the city of Sukabumi, at a depth of 88 kilometers.
So far, there have been no reports of material damage or human losses resulting from the earthquake.
Indonesia is regularly exposed to earthquakes due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire where many tectonic plates meet and cause frequent volcanic and seismic activity. (QNA)
