6 Killed, 1 Injured in Stabbing at Kindergarten in Southern China

Six people, including three children, were killed and one was injured in a stabbing at a kindergarten in southern China.

The attack took place in Lianjiang in Guangdong province on Monday, Chinese media reported, citing local authorities in the city.

The suspect has been arrested, and investigations are still underway to find out the motives for the attack.

China has seen a number of stabbing attacks in schools in recent years, despite government efforts to improve security.

Last August, three people were killed after an attack in southern Jiangxi province that also targeted a nursery school.

In April 2021, two children were killed and 16 others wounded when a knife-wielding man entered a kindergarten in southern China.
