Abdullah Bin Zayed Engages Foreign Ministers Over Regional Security Threats

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, conducted a series of phone calls with multiple foreign ministers to address recent regional and international developments. This action follows the unprovoked Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah engaged in discussions with Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco; Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of Senegal; and Hugo de Zela, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru. The primary focus of these discussions was the impact of these developments on regional security, stability, global economy, and energy security.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and the ministers strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks, labeling them a violation of international law and the UN Charter. They emphasized the threat these attacks pose to the security and sovereignty of states and the stability of the region. The ministers affirmed the right of the affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and the safety of their citizens.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening international coordination and intensifying joint efforts to maintain regional security and stability. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the support shown by brotherly and friendly nations, assuring that all residents and visitors in the UAE are safe.

Furthermore, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the necessity of advancing diplomatic efforts and engaging in responsible dialogue to resolve ongoing issues, aiming to foster peace and prosperity for the region's peoples.
