Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority is actively conducting a series of awareness and training workshops aimed at enhancing prevention and safety across various government and private entities. This initiative forms a part of the ‘Winter Safety’ campaign.
According to Emirates News Agency, the workshops are designed to increase awareness about fire and injury prevention, improve employees’ readiness to respond effectively to emergencies, and contribute to the protection of lives and property. The sessions also aim to instill a culture of safety in different work environments.
The workshops provide comprehensive coverage of prevention and safety measures. Participants are introduced to different types of fire extinguishers and their proper usage, trained on safe evacuation procedures, and given practical guidance on first aid for common injuries. Additionally, the sessions emphasize the critical role of safety officers in promoting safe work environments and ensuring adherence to prevention standards within facilities.
The Authority has emphasized that this initiative is integral to its strategic plans to enhance preventive awareness and ensure community preparedness in addressing potential risks.
