Baghdad The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, highly valued the approval of the United Nations General Assembly (the International Day to Combat Extremism Conducive to Terrorism), which was proposed by Iraq.
He said in a tweet on Twitter: “This recognition came through the continuous efforts of the National Committee for Combating Extremism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and with the support of brothers in the State of Qatar, Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman.”
He added, “It is a big step towards promoting world peace and achieving societal peace, towards a world free of extremism and extremism.”
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf announced today, Tuesday, that the United Nations General Assembly decided to adopt the twelfth of February as the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism.
