Arada Expands Australian Construction Firm Roberts Co into UAE

Abu Dhabi:Arada has announced the expansion of Roberts Co into the UAE, integrating the tier-one Australian construction company's expertise into the region as part of its Arada Industries vertical.

According to Emirates News Agency, this move establishes a UAE presence for Roberts Co with a substantial head office team and is a critical step in Arada's strategy to incorporate advanced construction capabilities into its development process. The integration aims to enhance efficiencies, reduce costs, and strengthen Arada's competitive position by embedding construction expertise at the design and development stages.

Roberts Co, acquired by Arada in 2025 following its entry into the Australian market, is a commercially focused contractor with extensive experience across various sectors, including health, education, and defense. The firm’s presence in the UAE allows Arada to leverage its delivery capability across high-rise residential and social infrastructure projects.

The first project for Roberts Co in the UAE will be Phase 2 of the Arada Central Business District within Aljada, Arada's AED35 billion mixed-use megaproject in Sharjah. Additionally, Roberts Co is providing preconstruction services for various Arada projects in Dubai and Sharjah.

Arada's Group CEO, Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, emphasized the strategic advantage of importing skills and innovation through Roberts Co, enhancing quality and efficiency across Arada's portfolio. Roberts Co CEO George Kostas highlighted the opportunity to bring their construction philosophy to a pipeline of ambitious projects in the UAE.

The establishment of Roberts Co in the UAE represents the latest step in Arada's vertical integration strategy, bringing construction-related capabilities in-house under the Arada Industries umbrella. This approach provides Arada with greater control over quality, programme, and cost in its projects, which are valued at AED171 billion across the UAE, United Kingdom, and Australia.
