Supreme Committee for Internal Security Evaluates Emergency Preparedness

Abu Dhabi:The Ministry of Interior's Supreme Committee for Internal Security convened a meeting to assess developments related to internal security, climate change, and the measures needed to enhance preparedness.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting, conducted via video conference as part of the Committee's 2026 schedule, was led by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. Participants included police chiefs, committee members, directors-general, Ministry of Interior officers, representatives from the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), and strategic partners.

Discussions centered on strengthening joint cooperation and coordination, national plans, joint exercises and training, and the readiness to handle emergencies proactively.

The Committee emphasized the necessity of integrating efforts among relevant entities and enhancing coordination and response capabilities to effectively manage changing circumstances and exceptional situations, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
