Atletico Madrid defeated their city rival Real Madrid in matchday 6 of La Liga on Sunday at the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium.

Alvaro Morata scored twice in 4′ and 46′ minutes. Antoine Griezmann netted in the 18′ minute for the home side.

The visitors only goal came by Toni Kross in the 35′ minute.

Atletico Madrid raised their tally to ten points in the fifth place. Real Madrid remained with 15 points in the third place behind Barcelona and Gerona with 16 points each.
